Partial Surveys
In some cases, only specific parts of a vessel require targeted inspection. Several of the items listed below are included in a standard comprehensive pre‑purchase inspection.
Available partial surveys include:
- Ultrasonic thickness measurements of hull and structural components
- Hull inspections for moisture, osmosis and delamination (GRP)
- Engine and auxiliary system testing
- Sea or trial runs
- Oil and fuel analysis
- Safety inspections
- Leak detection and measurements
- Other specialised inspections, as required
